The studio
An independent practice within Tangison Technologies.
Studio is the digital product arm of Tangison Technologies. We operate independently, with our own working culture, but draw on the broader group's technical and strategic capacity when a project requires it.

The relationship is straightforward: Studio leads on digital product design and development, while Tangison Technologies provides the wider engineering, infrastructure, and operational context. Tangison Labs handles the R&D, prototypes, and open-source tools. Clients work with Studio directly; the group connection is there when it is useful, not when it is not.
This structure lets us stay small and focused without being fragile. A two-person project team can pull in specialists from the wider group for a sprint, then return to its working rhythm without the overhead of a large agency.
We are based in Windhoek, Namibia. The location is not a footnote. It shapes how we work. We design for audiences that often access the web on constrained connections, and we treat performance and accessibility as baseline obligations, not optional polish.
The studio was founded by Tangi Iigonda in 2023, originally as Gemsweb Digital. The rename to Tangison Studio in 2025 was a structural decision, not a rebrand. It clarified what the practice does (digital product work), who it serves (ambitious organizations across Africa), and how it relates to the broader Tangison group. The work itself did not change. The portfolio, the process, and the people remained the same. What changed was the clarity of the offer.
Today Studio works with a mix of new and returning clients across Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, and beyond. We take on a limited number of projects at any given time so that the people who scope the work are the same people who design and build it. There is no account layer between you and the work. That directness is the structural advantage of being a small studio, and we protect it carefully.
