A braai restaurant on a corner in Swakopmund needed a site that could take orders without a booking engine. C4 Restaurant & Bar CC cooks the food people actually want after a day on the beach or the site: pap and chakalaka, wors straight off the coals, fresh hake, an oxtail that took its time. The bar keeps pouring after the kitchen closes. The site had to work for both moods.

The audience orders on the move. Regulars decide dinner while walking to the corner of Aaron Edward and Kovambo Nujoma Street, behind the blue fence they have driven past a hundred times. Nobody in that moment creates an account or types a card number. On the coast the order path that actually works is a WhatsApp message, and the site had to end there from every screen.

The brief was to publish the menus with real prices in Namibian dollars, show the patio and the plates from the pass, state the hours honestly, kitchen till 21:00, bar till late, and make ordering and booking a two-tap conversation instead of a checkout.

No forms, no accounts. The menu ends in a WhatsApp chat.

No forms, no accounts. The menu ends in a WhatsApp chat.

The menu is the site. Five groups, Starters & salads, From the braai, Mains & stews, Takeaway & breakfast and From the bar, carry the plates with their prices in plain rows, from the house salad at N$55 to the squid and pineapple platter at N$120. Nothing hides behind a PDF, and every price is edited in one content file, so the page tells the truth again the same day the kitchen changes it.

The order path is a basket that ends in a chat. Tap the plates, the basket keeps the list, and the order button opens WhatsApp with the list pre-written. The restaurant confirms the total and the prep time in the reply. Booking a table is the same motion: one tap, one message to the same numbers, landline 083 783 7780, mobile and WhatsApp 081 400 6471.

The rest of the site answers the corner questions. The Bar states the draught, wine, gin and cocktail offer and that the patio does not have to close when the kitchen does. The Gallery shows plates from the pass, Find us carries the map, the hours from 11:00 daily and the good-to-know details, and the takeaway counter packs boxes that travel, from breakfast boxes to the braai pack for two. The footer closes with the studio credit: Made by Tangison Studio.

What carried the result

The basket that becomes a chat

Tapping plates builds an order on the page, and the send step opens WhatsApp with the list pre-written. No checkout, no account, and the restaurant confirms the total and prep time in the reply it was already going to send.

Prices in the open

Every plate carries its price in Namibian dollars on the page, from the house salad at N$55 to the calamari strips at N$85. Regulars decide faster when the numbers are visible before the tap.

Honest hours, honest corner

Open daily from 11:00, kitchen till 21:00, bar till late, behind the blue fence on Aaron Edward and Kovambo Nujoma Street. The site describes the place as it is, sand between your feet and the street.

One file to run it

Phone numbers, menu groups, bar list, hours, FAQ answers and gallery photos all live in a single content file. The owner changes a price or a dish without a developer, and the build stays static and quick.

The braai corner of Swakopmund, two taps away.

A restaurant site that takes orders the way the coast actually orders.

C4 launched with the full menu, the bar list, the gallery and the WhatsApp order path live on every screen. The owner changes prices, plates, hours and FAQ answers in one content file without touching code, and the site stays fast on mobile data because it is static content with no cart, no accounts and no tracking weight.

The pattern holds for Namibian hospitality: sell the food with real prices, state the hours honestly, and end every path in the conversation the kitchen already answers. A website cannot smell like a braai, but it can get the order there before the coals cool.
